Interfaith Journey for Religious & Racial Harmony     In celebration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the New York Metropolitan Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolence invites you to attend: Upcoming January 2012: The 14th Annual New York Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Celebration for Religious and Racial Harmony. click here for flyer NYMLK conducts its annual King Sunday Observance one day before the national holiday, which brings together Christians, Jews, Muslims and other faiths to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. — and develops initiatives that inspire individuals and groups to take positive social action. The journey begins at a Mosque, with words of inspiration from the Imam, travels to a Synagogue, with words of inspiration from the Rabbi and then to a Church, with words of inspiration from the Pastor. Words of inspiration are also expressed by religious leaders representing other faiths. Programs and strategies are developed and implemented throughout the year.
